WMy client is an outstanding success story who now wishes to appoint an IT Manager / Senior Project Manager with strong business process mapping and design skills. This role would suit an ambitious Project or Programme Manager with a strong technical understanding of SAP SD & MM modules. The organization is in the process of cultural change and requires a professional to grow the IT dept whilst changing the culture within I.T. and simultaneously delivering business solutions. An important element of the role of senior Project Manager will be to implement fool proof business processes.

The I.T. Manager / Senior Project Manger will: co-ordinate, and control all aspects of the Information Technology and computer related activity in the company. Be the main point of contact for all IT issues to colleagues, and proactively look to develop business processes and IT to continuously improve the business. Become a member of the UK management steering team.

Summary of Functions for the I.T. Manager / Senior Project Manger
Direct supervision of a team of 4-6 people
SAP is the main transaction system. Development of new systems is carried out centrally but a substantial amount of liaison regarding errors and support is necessary particularly with regard to EDI customer ordering.

Project management from initiation to project close using appropriate tools.
Master Data management
Development of business processes to continuously improve efficiency.
IT consultation in order to improve business processes.
Ensure all infrastructure management issues are properly managed through the IT team.
EDI system management.

Qualifications & Experience required by the I.T. Manager / Senior Project Manger
Educated to Degree level standard or equivalent, with relevant experience in a similar environment.

• Knowledge and experience in the core SAP modules (SD, MM)
• Good Microsoft knowledge
• Project Management experience Medical Manufacturing
• Ability to communicate orally at all levels, including to management, and other co-workers, both individually and in front of a group is important.
• Effective communication with people for whom speaking and writing
• English as a second language is essential

This role requires tact, diplomacy and the flexibility to react quickly to the needs of customers, colleagues and superiors.

Some business travel will be required within UK and Europe.
